Accessibility Statement

Last updated: August 2026

Jop is an accessibility platform, so we apply to our own website the same accessibility principles that we promote through Jop. We designed and built it to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and we test it on an ongoing basis.

Our approach

This website works without depending on the Jop accessibility widget. It is built with:

  • Sufficient colour contrast for text and interface elements.
  • Text that can be enlarged without content overlapping, disappearing or becoming unusable.
  • Layouts that reflow correctly at high zoom and on small screens.
  • Full keyboard access to navigation, controls, forms and interactive components.
  • A visible keyboard focus indicator that follows a logical order.
  • Correct semantic HTML for headings, lists, navigation regions and page landmarks.
  • Visibly labelled forms, with clear instructions and understandable error messages.
  • Alternative text for meaningful images, with decorative images hidden from screen readers.
  • Support for reducing or pausing animations and moving content.
  • Compatibility with screen readers, exposing correct names, roles and states for controls.
  • No interference with browser zoom, font overrides, high-contrast settings or assistive-technology preferences.

Reporting a barrier

If you experience an accessibility barrier on this website, contact us at feedback@jop.africa. Please describe the page, the issue you encountered and, where possible, the browser and assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond promptly.
